Can you imagine a day in their life?
A day of walking 1 1/2 miles in the rainy season to get water. A day of walking 4-5 miles in the dry season.
Just so they could fetch this???
Can you imagine being so thirsty that you need a drink, but then cringing as you drink it knowing you will be sick later? Can you imagine as a mother, choosing to let your child be thirsty or be sick? Or worse, die? Or knowing the water will make you so sick you will not be able to care for your children?
I am so thankful that each morning when I wake up I don’t have to make a choice like that for my five beautiful children. I can give them clean water. I can give them life.
However, this is a reality for millions of people around the world today. So in celebration of Orphan Sunday, will you join us in making a difference to the people living in the village of Mawoekpo, Ghana? There are approximately 400 people who need you to help. Help give them Water for Life.
Matthew 25:35 – For when I was thirsty, you gave me a drink.
John 7:38 – Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’
