What are we called to do? Love others.
Matthew 22:37-39 And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Who truly is your neighbor?
Jesus came to this earth for us. He came to give us life. While here, He served others. The King of Kings came to serve the needy, the brokenhearted, the forgotten. We are called to do the same thing.
On the other hand, each time we serve the least of these, we are serving Him. Matthew 25:35-40 – For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?” And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
Our dear friends are in Ghana right now serving the fatherless, serving the brokenhearted. They are being His hands and feet at this very moment, but they are also serving Jesus himself each time they reach out to a child or person in need. Pray as they minister to these children in His precious name.
