Great Mission International – GMI Ghana is a children’s home located in greater Accra, Ghana. The majority of the children are orphans, ages 2-18 years. The home is run by Pastor John Nyavor and his wife, Irene. In addition to providing a safe haven for vulnerable children, GMI is involved in many service projects in nearby markets and remote villages. The children truly learn what it means to serve “the least of these” – Matthew 25:40. On Sundays, the home serves as a place of worship for many neighbors. There are two rooms inside the house dedicated as a small primary school five days a week for children inside the home as well as many other local children.
- Vehicle – We are currently looking for a 15 passenger van for GMI – Ghana. All traveling is done via taxis, which is very expensive. Pastor John travels often to GMI – Togo and the trip is not cost effective. He loves to take the older children with him on service trips as it is an excellent learning opportunity for them to learn to give back to their community. He is raising true leaders for the country of Ghana. A 15 passenger van would allow GMI – Ghana more opportunities to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
